DEAN & DELUCA and Macao Tourism Introduces a Series of Macanese Dishes Exclusively Served During this July – October

DEAN & DELUCA (Thailand), iconic gourmet food and beverage brand from New York with culinary experience of 40 years and Macao Government Tourism Office, introduce special Macanese dishes authentically from Macao, a unique blend of Portuguese and Chinese cuisines that has long been well incorporated into a part of Macao culture. A series of delicious Macanese dishes is available from July to October 2017 at selected DEAN & DELUCA stores including DEAN & DELUCA ManaNakhon CUBE, Central Embassy, Emquartier, The Crystal and Bluport Hua Hin.

The Macanese menus, from starters, main courses, desserts to beverages and wines, are the well-selected signature dishes such as Caldo Verde Soup, Bacalhau A Braz, African Chicken, Tamarind Pork with Balichao and Serradura.

This special collaboration is a part of the promotion of Macao Tourism in Thailand under the concept of “Experience Macao Your Own Style” as to introduce the outstanding mixed food cultures between East and West after the arrival and settlement of the Portuguese since mid-16th century.

The uniqueness and variation of food in Macao is one of the reasons that this city a must-visit place for tourists, where everyone can enjoy variety of styles of food such as traditional Portuguese, traditional Chinese and the Macanese. Macanese cuisine is considered as the taste of the well-blended cultures in Macao. It is a special combination of Portuguese and Chinese cuisine, with ingredients and seasonings assembled from Europe, Africa, and

South East Asia. Macanese food is typically seasoned with spices such as turmeric and cinnamon, while a dash of coconut milk tops off the unforgettable aromas and taste.
