Bangkok, September 30, 2019 — HP Inc. announced the completion of “Gaming Development Bootcamp Season 2” in Thailand, a campaign that inspires local game developers to create that next-generation of immersive gaming experiences for the gaming community. Powered by OMEN by HP, the bootcamp continues to push young varsity gaming enthusiasts to learn, create, exchange ideas and shape the future of Thai gaming ecosystem through training programs.

Inspired by the success of the VR Development Bootcamp in Thailand, HP is deepening its engagement with the local gaming community while enhancing game developers’ capabilities. The Gaming Development Bootcamp Season 2, powered by OMEN by HP, offers the participants a hands-on experience in creating game content with the Unity Program.
Open to college and university students in the greater Bangkok, a total of 24 teams or a total of 105 students were recruited and trained by game development experts on Unity, the creation of 3D animation and graphic design for game development. During the course, each participating team worked on an assignment to develop gaming contents with Unity 3D and showcased the project at the final round to win “The Winner of Gaming Dev Bootcamp 2019” award.
Competing student teams from Bangkok University, Rangsit University, Mahidol University, Kasetsart University, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Thammasat University, and King Mongkut’s Institute of Technology Ladkrabang participated in the final round of the bootcamp on 29 September 2019 at GG Arena, Siam Square One. The award presentation was presided over by Mr. Saranpat Sereewiwattana, the Vice President of Thai Game Software Industry Association and Pattariya Pattarakorn, Country Category Manager – Personal Systems. Team Sanser from Bangkok University won “The Winner of Gaming Dev Bootcamp 2019” and were rewarded with a scholarship sponsored by OMEN by HP. All participants also received Gaming Development Bootcamp Certificate.
