Overseas Visitors Exceed Targeted Number at TAPA 2018

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Commerce revealed that Thailand Auto Parts & Accessories 2018 (TAPA 2018) was successful in providing trade opportunities for Thai manufacturers and promoting export with overseas visitors exceeding the expected number.

Mrs. Chantira Jimreivat Vivatrat, DITP’s Director-General, revealed that TAPA 2018 which has been opened on 5 April 2018 at BITEC, Bangkok received great attention from overseas visitors who came from around the globe to source for products and secure business network with Thai manufacturers. Moreover, the first day’s purchasing order reached over 1,146 million baht, and it is expected that TAPA 2018 will generate more than the targeted purchasing order (2,000 million baht).

TAPA 2018 is expected to attract more than 10,000 visitors from Thailand and overseas. Exciting activities at TAPA 2018 include exhibitions and Product Showcase from leading automobile and parts manufacturers which present cutting-edge technologies in automobile and parts.

There are seminars on interesting topics about the future of automotive industry and Thai auto parts development, including “Auto Parts Industry in Eastern Economic Corridor: EEC”, which features well-known speakers and presents an insight on this newly promoted area with high potential for investment in the automotive industry and “EV Research Trend” by NSTDA. Also featured at the event is “Cross-Border e-Commerce Solutions & Business Matching”, which received great attention from manufacturers and buyers.

TAPA 2018 is organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion in collaboration with Thai Auto-Parts Manufacturers Association and supported by related associations and organizations in Thailand’s auto parts industry during 5-8 April 2018 at BITEC, Bangkok – 5-7 April 2018 are trade days and 8 April 2018 is a public day.
