Hard Rock Pattaya’s Annual Charity Fundraiser 2019

PATTAYA CITY, Thailand – June 3, 2019 – Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya & Hard Rock Cafe Pattaya put the fun into fundraising by organizing the 16th Annual Charity Fundraiser and hosting a special concert by THE PARKINSON, a Thai pop & soul trio band, who will take to the stage at 7:00p.m. Friday, July 5, 2019, in The Hall of Fame at Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya. All proceeds will go directly to Hard Rock Pattaya Philanthropic projects.

The fundraiser and charity concert, now in its 16th year, will be as memorable, meaningful and fun-packed as prior years. The evening starts at 7:00pm and finishes late. The night includes a grand buffet dinner with free-flow drinks at The Hall of Fame. For entertainment, there will be the property’s resident band, The NAQITA, playing live and then the main act, THE PARKINSON, will perform a live 60-minute show. Hard Rock Hotel Pattaya will also be conducting a fantastic charity auction and raffle featuring many wonderful prizes, including free stays at sister hotels, Hard Rock Bali & Hard Rock Hotel Penang, and an autographed guitar.

Formed in 2013, the Thai pop & soul trio band features only three members with three instruments. They are renowned for their many hit songs such as “Puen Rak” (Dear Friend) and “Ja Bok Ter Wa Rak” (Tell Her That I Love). They compose their own songs along with songs for other artists and have proven themselves some of the best composers by winning The Guitar Mag Awards 2019.

H.R.H. PRINCESS MAHA CHAKRI SIRINDHORN CHARITY FUND
For over twenty years, Somdech Phra Kanishthadhiraj Chao Krom Somdech Phra Debaratnarajsuda Chao Fa Maha Chakri Sirindhorn’s Royal work and duties have been cherished by the Thai people. Throughout this time, Her Royal Highness has inspired all Thai people to follow her lead and donate generously to support numerous Royal projects, these funds have helped people improve their living conditions and standard of education, the projects also include programs to assist the Thai youth in remote areas of the country. Other work includes natural disaster relief and development of occupations for the disadvantaged, as well as supporting numerous other charitable projects such as the purchase of medical equipment and machinery for hospitals, with the magnitude and nature of these projects Her Royal Highness has thus initiated the H.R.H.Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Charity Fund, in order to grant donations according to the multiple objectives set forth.

ROCK THE SCHOOL
A program to support school students in Grade 7 through to Grade 12 (Age 13-18), from low income backgrounds by granting funds for their education through a committee formed by Hotel executives and School officials. The scholarship is designed to help the student and respective families buy uniforms, books, supplies and for the student to participate in extra-curricular educational activities. Currently there are 24 students under this program; each student receives a fund of Bt. 25,000 – Bt. 28,000 per annum until they graduate grade 12 and with a vocational diploma.

ROCK THE LUNCH
Initiated by Hard Rock Pattaya in 2011, Rock the Lunch takes place on a monthly basis. We visit selected schools which have limited budgets for children’s meals, prepare and serve them lunch; over 67 times now. Our own band members put on a show and the children have a great meal, have fun and leave energized.

ROCK THE FARM
Started in July 2016, our green initiative according to our motto Save the Planet, collaborates with The King’s Project of Agricultural Promotion, Demonstration and Training Center at Wat Yarnasangwararam, provides us with the knowledge, seeds and sprouts to farm organically. This becomes a learning center for our Hard Rock team that wish to join us in learning about sustainable agriculture. We grow a variety of fruits and vegetables, banana, mango, tomato, cucumber, onion, many variety of lettuces and Thai herbs. Everything that is grown at Rock The Farm is a 100% natural, using natural compost is chemical free. The produce grown is organic and is brought back to Rock The Lunch project and to be served in our restaurants.
