Omron Held Omron Total Fair at Manufacturing Expo 2015

Bangkok, Thailand: 2 July 2015 – Japan-based Omron Corporation, a leader in sensing and control technologies, demonstrated its commitment to meet the challenges of industrial, social and life sectors in Thailand through the organisation of Omron Total Fair Thailand (OTF-TH). Held from 24 to 27 June 2015, OTF-TH is part of the Manufacturing Expo (ME) 2015 exhibition with the largest booth at Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre. The exhibition saw a total turnout of over 50,000 visitors with close to 6,000 people visiting Omron’s booth.

Highlights of OTF-TH include an opening campaign with introductory speech by Mr. Suttisak Wilanan, Deputy Managing Director of Reed Tradex, and a ping pong rally between Dr. Djitt Laowattana, Director of Institute of Field Robotics, King Mongkut’s University of Technology Thonburi, and Omron ping pong robot on the first day. Dr. Djitt was later accompanied by Mr. Yutaka Iitaka, President of Omron Asia Pacific on a booth tour. A series of technical seminars on Omron’s products and solutions were also held from 25 to 26 June at BITEC with full attendance.

Through OTF-TH, Omron showcased its total automation capabilities that focus on improving manufacturing productivity, quality of automotive vehicles and home appliances, social infrastructure, and healthcare in Thailand.

OTF-TH is the fifth instalment of Omron Total Fair, which was previously held in Jakarta and three other cities in China. The next exhibition will be held in India in 2016. To find out more information, please visit www.omron.co.th.
